AUTOTERM Baltica Basic 12V kit

BALTICA is a complete diesel-powered heating and hot water system for motorhomes, campervans, boats and custom-built vehicles. It delivers domestic hot water, interior heating and coolant heating at the same time – without a separate boiler.

How it works
The heart of the system is a 13 litre expansion tank with a built-in heat exchanger. The diesel-fired BALTICA Flow 5D heater (5 kW) warms the
coolant in the tank, and that heat is used twice: it instantly heats the domestic water flowing through the exchanger, and it heats the living space through the heating loop. An adjustable thermostatic mixing valve delivers the outlet water, so shower temperature is easy to set.
The BALTICA CONTROL panel automatically manages the pumps and heating fans, handles timers, and stops the fans once the target temperature is reached. A separate menu enables GRID heating, keeping the system warm on electricity alone, with no combustion.

Also the Baltica Flow 5D heater and the Baltica Control panel ship in separate boxes. The heater is a dedicated Baltica version – standard Autoterm Flow 5 heaters are not compatible.

You will also need coolant: the manufacturer recommends AUTOTERM Aluminium EKO, or any non-corrosive propylene glycol of the same specification.

Before installation
The tank must be mounted vertically only, using the original brackets, with at least 5 cm clearance on all sides.
Coolant piping between heater and tank must not exceed 3 metres.
Only non-corrosive, propylene glycol based coolant may be used (the system heats domestic water) – never use water.
Installation and commissioning must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the manufacturer's manual.
